With the Auction House developing quickly early in the game cycle, player prices can change from day to day. Still, several cards currently stand out because of their shooting, defense, size, or overall value. Here is a look at some of the better options from around 5,000 MT all the way to the top end of the market.
Around 5,000 MT: Anthony Davis and Fred Brown
Players working with a very small MT budget still have a few useful options.
Anthony Davis is a solid starting big man because he can stretch the floor and move well for his position. His rebounding is not outstanding, so he will eventually need an upgrade, but he can hold his own while you build up your collection.
Fred Brown is another interesting option at this price. His 89 three-point rating makes him especially useful for players who want an inexpensive shooter. His release takes some getting used to, but once you are comfortable with it, he can provide reliable perimeter scoring.
Around 10,000–15,000 MT: Ruby LeBron James and Kevin Durant
Ruby LeBron James is one of the more interesting budget cards in this range. His listed shooting numbers may not look impressive at first, but his three-point shot can feel much better in actual games. He also brings good speed, athleticism, and well-rounded stats.
Upgrading his badges can make LeBron even more useful, which gives the card extra value for players who plan to keep him for a while.
Kevin Durant is another option around this price range. His 87 three-ball, length, and solid athleticism make him a dependable scoring forward. LeBron has the edge for pure value, but KD is still worth considering if you prefer his animations and playstyle.
Around 25,000 MT: Myisha Bonner or Serge Ibaka
The 25K range is a little harder to recommend because neither option is perfect.
Myisha Bonner brings strong athleticism, rebounding, and a 79 three-ball. Her biggest weakness is size, as she is only 6’4″, but her stats make her a surprisingly useful option.
Serge Ibaka offers more size but is less impressive athletically and from outside. His 72 three-ball also limits how much spacing he provides.
For most players, Bonner offers more upside, while Ibaka makes more sense if you simply need additional size.
Around 35,000 MT: Malik Thomas
Malik Thomas stands out as one of the strongest choices around 35,000 MT.
At 6’5″ with a 91 three-ball, 84 speed, and 84 agility, he can contribute in several areas. His standard catch-and-shoot release is not the fastest, but his ability to use leaner shots gives him another way to create offense.
For players who are comfortable shooting fades, Thomas can be a major upgrade without requiring a huge MT investment.
Around 40,000–50,000 MT: Alvin Robertson and Dominique
Alvin Robertson is worth a look if your lineup needs a defensive point guard. At 6’4″ with a 6’7″ wingspan, he has enough size to compete, while his 84 speed and 94 agility help him stay in front of opposing guards.
His biggest limitation is offensive creation. He is better suited to defending, running the floor, and making simple plays rather than carrying an offense.
Dominique is another strong option in this price area. The 86 three-ball, 85 driving dunk, and solid athleticism give her a useful mix of scoring and mobility. WNBA players are also proving to be legitimate MyTEAM options this year rather than automatic roster fillers.
Around 75,000 MT: Scottie Barnes
Scottie Barnes is one of the more complete players available in the mid-range market.
His release is not his biggest strength, but his defensive attributes are excellent, and his 87 three-ball gives him enough shooting ability to keep defenses honest. His size and versatility also allow him to guard multiple positions.
Players looking around this price should also keep an eye on cards such as Amen Thompson and Walker Kessler. Depending on Auction House prices, these players can become attractive alternatives to Barnes.

Around 100,000 MT: John Wall and Rudy Gobert
John Wall is one of the better point guards in the 100K range. He has an 83 three-ball, strong dunking, excellent defense, and an elite-feeling jump shot.
At 6’3″, however, he does give up some size against bigger guards. His fade is also not quite on the same level as some of the very best offensive point guards. Even so, his combination of speed and defense makes him a strong choice.
Rudy Gobert takes a completely different approach. At 7’1″, he provides a huge defensive presence and elite rebounding. His 76 speed and 79 agility are also better than you might expect from a center of his size.

There are not many obvious must-buy options at exactly 200K MT, but Ben Wallace can still have a place in the conversation.
Defense is clearly his biggest selling point. He can protect the paint, switch onto different assignments, and give you a strong defensive presence.
His three-point shot should not be treated as a major part of his game, although players who are comfortable with his release can occasionally knock down open shots. Adding the right shooting badges can make that threat slightly more useful.
For this price range, Wallace is more about elite defense than being a complete offensive player.
Under 400,000 MT: Jayson Tatum and Paul George
Once the budget moves toward 400K MT, the quality of the available cards rises considerably.
Jayson Tatum is a strong all-around wing at 6’8″ with a 6’10” wingspan. His 94 three-ball, driving ability, defense, and solid release make him useful on both ends.
Paul George is another excellent choice and may be the preferred option for players looking for the strongest overall card in this range. The main difference is availability and whether you are comfortable locking MT into the card rather than keeping the player sellable.
Neither player has an amazing fade, but that is a relatively small weakness compared with everything else they bring to a lineup.
Best High-End Option: Caleb Wilson
For players with enough MT to chase the top cards, Caleb Wilson is one of the most complete choices available.
At 6’10” with a 7’2″ wingspan, he combines size with athleticism, shooting, defense, and finishing. His dunking is excellent, his three-point ability is strong, and he does not have an obvious weakness that opponents can easily target.
That balance is what separates Wilson from many other expensive cards. Giannis and Shaq are also worth considering at the top of the market, but Wilson offers a particularly complete package.
